Brittney Johnson is a history-making Broadway actress and celebrated vocalist known for her dynamic performances and powerful presence on stage. She recently starred as Agnes in the acclaimed revival of Gypsy, and made Broadway history in Wicked, becoming the first Black woman to play Glinda on the Broadway stage.
Her other notable credits include a commanding turn as Eponine in Les Misérables, where she also made history as the first actress to play both Eponine and Fantine in the same day. She starred in Motown the Musical, understudying the iconic role of Diana Ross, and played Little Eva in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Brittney appeared in the critically acclaimed revival of Sunset Boulevard alongside Glenn Close, and was honored as the opening night guest for Kristin Chenoweth: For The Girls on Broadway.
Internationally, she reprised her award-nominated portrayal of Lorrell in Dreamgirls at Tokyo’s renowned Orb Theatre, and headlined her solo concert From the Heart at New York’s legendary Birdland Jazz Club.
